Daniel Guéguen

Visiting professor, European Political and Administrative Studies Department

With nearly 40 years of experience in EU public affairs, Daniel Guéguen is currently chairman of « PACT European Affairs / PACT Training » and vice-president of Europolitics, one of the two main European press agencies.

Daniel started his European career in 1975 for the European Committee of Sugar Manufacturers, of which he was Director General from 1988 until 1994. He then went on to become Secretary General of COPA-COGECA, one of the main European lobbies representing farmers and agricultural cooperatives in the EU.

Daniel is also a renowned author with publications such as: “The Practical Guide to the EU Labyrinth” translated in 20 languages, “Comitology - Hijacking European Power?” and “Reshaping European Lobbying”. He is associate lecturer at the Institut d’Etudes Européennes (ULB) and EDHEC in Lille and guest lecturer at Harvard Kennedy School, George Washington University, London Metropolitan University, King’s College and Monash University, Melbourne.
